2. Returns (STRICT POLICY – NO CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS)

Modern Viking does not accept returns under any circumstances for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or dissatisfaction with the product. All sales are final.

We accept returns ONLY within 30 days of receipt and ONLY if the following strict conditions are met:

✅ Item is in its original, unused condition with tags attached and in original packaging.
✅ Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is provided.
✅ The return is initiated via support@modernviking.com.au, where we will provide instructions.
✅ Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is defective or not as described.

📌 Important: We do not accept returns for reasons related to natural variations in handcrafted or natural-material products (e.g., drinking horns, wooden handles, leatherwork). These natural marks and color variations are not defects and are not eligible for returns.

🚨 Absolutely NO returns will be accepted for change of mind or personal preference. If you are unsure, do not purchase.

3. Damages, Defects & Order Issues

All customers must inspect their items immediately upon delivery.

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery via support@modernviking.com.au with:

✅ Clear photos of the issue (packaging and item).
✅ A description of the problem.
✅ Your order number.

Modern Viking reserves the right to inspect, validate, and determine eligibility for refunds or replacements.

🚨 Attempting to return a product that has been intentionally damaged, tampered with, or modified to appear defective will result in LEGAL ACTION against the individual.

4. Non-Returnable Items (STRICTLY ENFORCED – NO EXCEPTIONS)

The following items CANNOT be returned or refunded under any circumstances:

🚫 Personalized or customized items (Engraved products, custom names, symbols, or unique designs).
🚫 Sale items & gift cards.
🚫 Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
🚫 Perishable goods & personal care items.
🚫 Items customized by third-party companies (Not covered under our return policy).

📌 IMPORTANT: Under no circumstances can a personalized item be returned, exchanged, or refunded. No exceptions.

🚨 If an attempt is made to falsely claim a refund on a non-returnable item, Modern Viking reserves the right to take legal action.

5. Exchanges

✅ We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, return the original for a refund (if eligible) and place a new order.

🚨 Personalized or customized items cannot be exchanged under any circumstances.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, you will be notified via email of the approval or rejection of your refund.

✅ If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
✅ Refunds may take 5-10 business days depending on your bank or payment provider.
✅ Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is defective or incorrect.

7. International Purchases (New Zealand, USA & Other Countries)

Import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility.
Modern Viking has no control over these charges and does not provide refunds for confiscated or undelivered orders due to customs issues.
International returns must be arranged and paid for by the customer, except in cases of defects or order errors.

📌 We do not provide refunds for orders that are held or confiscated by customs due to local import restrictions.

8. Legal Compliance & Limitation of Liability
