Thor's Thunder Hammer Drinking Horn
Real strength is not measured by what it can destroy. It is measured by what it chooses to protect.
Thor and Mjölnir are hand carved across genuine buffalo horn, carrying the presence of the thunder god and the weapon that became one of the most recognised symbols of Norse belief.
Complete with its own display stand, this commanding horn is made to be raised after hard won victories and displayed for the person who keeps standing when others depend on them.
Add personal engraving and make that tribute belong to one name.
In surviving Norse stories, Thor wields Mjölnir against giants and other forces threatening the gods and their world. The hammer is not merely carried. It is raised, thrown and used to hallow important moments.
Its importance also survives beyond mythology. Viking Age Mjölnir amulets have been discovered across Scandinavia and beyond, connecting Thor’s hammer with protection, power and fertility.
For this vessel, that history carries a modern message:
Power earns respect only when it protects something beyond itself.
The carved Thor figure and knotwork follow the natural colour and curve of each horn. No two carry the design in precisely the same way, just as no two people carry responsibility with precisely the same strength.
Raise Thor’s Thunder Hammer for the one who protects their people, carries the weight and keeps standing when the storm reaches everyone else.

1. 💧 Clean After Every Feast
After draining your last ale, rinse your horn with cool water. Avoid using boiling water as it may weaken the structure of the horn—only cold or lukewarm water, as the Vikings would.
2. 🧼 Use Mild Soap
When your horn requires a deeper clean, use a gentle, mild soap with a soft cloth. Harsh chemicals and abrasive sponges are for pillaging, not for cleaning!
3. 🌬️ Air Dry Like a True Viking
After washing, allow your horn to air dry naturally. Do not leave it under direct sunlight or near a fire pit—keep it in the cool shade of your longhouse.
4. 🍺 Cold Drinks Only
Your horn is made for mead, ale, and cold beverages. Avoid hot drinks like mulled wine or coffee, as they may damage the horn’s natural finish. Keep your beverages as cold as the fjords!
5. 🛡️ Polish and Protect
From time to time, keep your horn in fighting condition by polishing the exterior with a food-safe oil like olive oil or coconut oil. This will keep it shining with the glory of the gods.
6. ⚔️ Store Like a Viking
When not in use, store your horn in a cool, dry place. Don’t leave it in damp environments or near the heat, as it may warp over time. Store it safely, ready for the next raid!
