The Legend
In Norse culture, the bear was sacred — a symbol of unmatched strength and ferocity in battle. Berserkers, the most feared Viking warriors, were said to harness the bear’s rage to become untouchable in combat. The Shieldbearer Tankard honors their legacy — every drink taken from it is a nod to the fearless.

This isn’t just a mug. It’s a grip on history.

Power. Brotherhood. Protection.

The Shieldbearer Tankard is carved from solid hardwood and wrapped in a pattern of interlocking bear heads — a tribute to the unity of the Norse shield wall and the brute strength of the wild. Its handle, adorned with Nordic tribal etchings, is made to fit the grasp of a warrior.

Holding 450ml to 550ml, this tankard is perfect for those who drink with purpose, feast with pride, and carry the strength of the bear.

✔️ Hand-carved from solid hardwood
✔️ Features interlocking bear-head design symbolizing unity and power
✔️ Sculpted handle with Nordic etchings for authenticity and grip
✔️ Holds approximately 450ml to 550ml — perfect for everyday Viking feasting
✔️ Each tankard has unique wood grain, texture, and markings — no two are alike

1. 💧 Clean After Every Feast
After draining your last ale, rinse your horn with cool water. Avoid using boiling water as it may weaken the structure of the horn—only cold or lukewarm water, as the Vikings would.

2. 🧼 Use Mild Soap
When your horn requires a deeper clean, use a gentle, mild soap with a soft cloth. Harsh chemicals and abrasive sponges are for pillaging, not for cleaning!

3. 🌬️ Air Dry Like a True Viking
After washing, allow your horn to air dry naturally. Do not leave it under direct sunlight or near a fire pit—keep it in the cool shade of your longhouse.

4. 🍺 Cold Drinks Only
Your horn is made for mead, ale, and cold beverages. Avoid hot drinks like mulled wine or coffee, as they may damage the horn’s natural finish. Keep your beverages as cold as the fjords!

5. 🛡️ Polish and Protect
From time to time, keep your horn in fighting condition by polishing the exterior with a food-safe oil like olive oil or coconut oil. This will keep it shining with the glory of the gods.

6. ⚔️ Store Like a Viking
When not in use, store your horn in a cool, dry place. Don’t leave it in damp environments or near the heat, as it may warp over time. Store it safely, ready for the next raid!
