The three interlocking triangles now called the Valknut appear in Viking Age imagery, but their original name and precise meaning remain uncertain. Scholars have connected the symbol with Odin, death and the transition beyond life, but these remain interpretations rather than proven facts.

Mjölnir carries a clearer history. Thor wielded the hammer against giants and other threats to gods and humans. Hammer amulets also survive from the Viking Age, showing that Mjölnir held genuine importance in Norse religious practice.

The stave inspired by the Vegvísir belongs to later Icelandic magical tradition, not the Viking Age. It was associated with finding the way through storms, bad weather and unfamiliar surroundings.

After draining your last ale, rinse your horn with cool water. Avoid using boiling water as it may weaken the structure of the horn—only cold or lukewarm water, as the Vikings would.

When your horn requires a deeper clean, use a gentle, mild soap with a soft cloth. Harsh chemicals and abrasive sponges are for pillaging, not for cleaning!

3. 🌬️ Air Dry Like a True Viking
After washing, allow your horn to air dry naturally. Do not leave it under direct sunlight or near a fire pit—keep it in the cool shade of your longhouse.

4. 🍺 Cold Drinks Only
Your horn is made for mead, ale, and cold beverages. Avoid hot drinks like mulled wine or coffee, as they may damage the horn’s natural finish. Keep your beverages as cold as the fjords!
